Architects with an eye toward the future submitted their concepts for the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce Architectural Design Competition and we are giving Carlsbad Business Journal readers a sneak peak at some of the designs before the winner is announced in September. The competition was open to design professionals and the top three designs will win cash awards. Design schemes focus on two properties in the heart of the Village, adjacent to the Coaster station on State Street, including a City property and a private property.
Design judges include David DiRienzo, president of Urban West Strategies in Santa Ana; Tony Letteri, principal at Anthony J. Letteri, AICP in San Diego; Greg Shannon, president of Sedona Pacific in Solana Beach; Steve Silverman, principal of Urban Council in San Diego and Dennie Smith, president of Consulting Architects in San Diego.
