Irene Stillings has joined the board of directors of Sustainable Surplus Exchange (SSE). Stillings, who recently retired as executive director of the California Center for Sustainable Energy, brings more than 30 years of experience in sustainability, energy initiatives and environmental education.
During her 10 years of leadership, she grew CCSE from 7 to 90 employees and broadened their focus to include renewable and alternative energy, and climate change. Under her direction, CCSE became the go-to organization for balanced, objective information and a trusted advisor to elected officials, business leaders and key stakeholders in the field.
