CarlsbadtoLAX adds a new stop at Carlsbad Premium Outlets!

CarlsbadtoLAX.com took a step forward in its “re-scaling” by opening a new stop at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets going to/from Los Angeles World Airport (LAX).

Due to the recent effects of the pandemic, we had to make the difficult decision during Omicron to reduce our daily schedule to one Round Trip per day. In the short term, we will continue to offer safe and efficient travel on this one Round Trip schedule. But with the addition of our Premium Outlets stop we are restarting our growth plan. The plan will first add more San Diego stops right off Interstate 5, then move back towards our December 2021 schedule of four Round Trips a day.

But in the immediate term, it is our pleasure to announce that we have partnered with Carlsbad Premium Outlets to offer a stop at their location as a “right-off-the-5” convenience to our customers, and where our customers can conveniently pick up a snack for the trip or have a last minute restroom break.

Another exciting aspect of this new stop is given our Shuttle service starts each day at San Ysidro Transit Center, we believe there are several partnership opportunities with North County San Diego businesses who have employees living in the greater CaliBaja region, meaning someone could cross the Tijuana/San Ysidro border in the morning and take our Shuttle to their job in North County. You can find our new pick-up location at the back of the Outlets center. Maps at the Outlets can assist you in finding us, look for the “Public Restrooms” area. Below you will find the location of the pick-up and drop-off, and also the image for reference:

Riders using this stop can now easily drive or ask a friend to drop them off at the Outlets and travel from there to their final destination, whether it is going north to LAX or south to San Ysidro Transit Center.

Please note that our Outlets do not have a dedicated shuttle parking area. Dropping off and picking up passengers is possible at this stop, but there are no parking spaces designated for Carlsbad to LAX passengers.

The opening of this new shuttle stop on Carlsbad Premium Outlets is part of the latest set of improvements made possible by the support of such partners as Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, Carlsbad Village Association, North San Diego Business Chamber, and ASTA San Diego. This new stop will provide more options for travelers and serve more neighborhoods in Carlsbad, such as Poinsettia Park, Aviara, and the surrounding areas.
