Future CEO Fall classes – registration now open!

Parents often say, “I wish I had learned that when I was younger.” Whether it’s understanding money, knowing how to communicate professionally, or having the confidence to turn an idea into something real, many important life skills are learned through experience rather than in the classroom. The Future CEO program gives middle school students a head start on those experiences.
Designed for North County students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, Future CEO introduces young people to entrepreneurship in a way that is educational, engaging, and fun. Students don’t just learn what a CEO does; they discover what it takes to build and operate a business of their own.
Throughout the program, students explore the essential building blocks of entrepreneurship, including creating a business plan, obtaining a business license, developing a product, building a brand, marketing, banking and finance, and interacting with customers. Local business leaders, guest speakers, and mentors bring these lessons to life by sharing real-world knowledge and experiences
But Future CEO is about much more than teaching kids how to start a company.
It is about building confidence, creativity, independence, communication, and critical-thinking skills that students can carry with them regardless of the career path they eventually choose. Participants learn how to take an idea, work through challenges, make decisions, and see what they can accomplish when given the right tools and encouragement.
Parents get to watch and see that growth happen over the seven-week after-school program.
The experience culminates in the Future CEO Business Day & Maker’s Market, where students showcase their businesses, present the products they have created, interact with customers, and actually sell their goods. It transforms classroom lessons into a real-world experience—and gives students the pride of saying, “I built this.”
Launched in 2025, Future CEO has already grown to cohorts of approximately 25–35 students and has received an enthusiastic response from local families and school district employees.
For parents looking for an opportunity that goes beyond traditional academics, Future CEO offers something different: practical skills, meaningful community connections, and an environment where young people are encouraged to think bigger about what they can achieve.
Your child may not know today whether they want to become an entrepreneur—and that’s okay. Future CEO isn’t simply about creating the next generation of business owners; it’s about helping create the next generation of confident, capable leaders.
Classes are held from 4:00 pm – 4:45 pm on Thursdays between 9/24/26 and 10/29/26 at the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, and you can learn more at ImpactCarlsbad.com/FutureCEO.
