Carlsbad Chamber Announces Rising Star of the Year Scholarship Recipients
Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce awards $16,000 in scholarships.
Carlsbad, CA (May 6, 2026) – In September, 2025 the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce launched its seventh Rising Star of the Month program via the Carlsbad Chamber Community Foundation. Throughout the school year over 35 high school seniors from six different high schools were recognized for demonstrating character, integrity, love of learning, involvement in school and community activities and/or the ability to overcome challenging life circumstances without compromising their education. Those students were eligible to apply for the Rising Star of the Year scholarships. The winners of the 202-26 Rising Star of the Year scholarships are:
Rising Stars of the Year:
- Ava Jannuzzi, Carlsbad High School ($2,000)
- Cayman Ringdahl, La Costa Canyon High School ($2,000)
- Max Marchi, Sage Creek High School ($2,000)
- Shara Chavez, Pacific Ridge School ($2,000)
- Nick Huggins, Army and Navy Academy ($2,000)
- Skylar Fojas, Carlsbad Village Academy ($2,000)
Bonus Scholarships:
- Brendan Lee, La Costa Canyon High School ($1,000)
- Timony Tyler, Sage Creek High School ($1,000)
- Advaith Akella, Sage Creek High School ($1,000)
- Levi Paschal, Carlsbad High School ($1,000)
These ten students will be honored on May 19, 2026 at 8:00 at a breakfast hosted at the Holiday Inn, Carlsbad. Community members are welcome to attend, cost is $35.00/person. Click here to register.
