More than 300,000 dedicated readers and travelers voted in the 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards, submitting millions of ratings and approximately 75,000 comments. The annual survey ranks the best hotels, resorts, cities, islands, airlines, and cruise lines in the world. For the readers’ poll, hotels were judged based on a five-point scale (excellent, very good, good, fair, and poor) in the areas of rooms, service, food, design, location activities, facilities and value.
