We had our first new member orientation of the year on Thursday. More than 40 new members arrived to learn about what the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce can offer their business through their membership.
The new members got a chance to get acquainted with each other before the orientation began. Some had already attended a few Chamber events, while others were coming to their first event.
After the staff of the Carlsbad Chamber introduced themselves, Toni Padron the Chambers’ Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, welcomed the new members and informed them of the Chamber’s 90-day satisfaction money-back guarantee.
If you are not happy, we are not happy! – Toni Padron, Executive Vice President/COORepresentatives of the Ambassadors, Business Resource, Government Affairs, Sustainability, and the Technology Advisory committees were present to speak with the new members. Since it is encouraged for the new members to join a committee to help get the most out of their membership, our Committee leaders speak to provide the information for those to determine which committee would be best for them and their business. The orientation concluded with “Introductions” where attendees could share their 17 second commercial for their business and an opportunity for those who hadn’t yet met to inform the other members about their business. Last and certainly not least, there was a drawing for a cake provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes. The name was chosen out of a bowl filled with the new member’s business cards and Kenneth A. Greenlee won the Nothing Bundt Cake basket. Marilyn Huerta from Cal State San Marcos won a drawing for a free First Friday Breakfast in March! Lunch was provided by Buca di Beppo.
