Declared by the City of Carlsbad as the First Annual Bressi Ranch Day, community leaders, potential homebuyers and business professionals gathered together for the unveiling of Carlsbad's newest Garden District Community. To help celebrate, visitors were treated to an evening featuring live musical performance, dedications, and model home tours throughout six of the eight communities planned for Bressi Ranch.
Mayor Bud Lewis, Councilwoman Ann Kulchin and Councilwoman Julianne Nygaard, who played fundamental roles in making the Bressi Ranch vision a reality, performed the official vine cutting ceremony for the evening and proclaimed the day officially Bressi Ranch Day.
Beneath a 100-foot event tent, Larry Clemens, President of Lennar San Diego Communities, officiated the evening and welcomed those to the community for the first time. "We are here today to celebrate the new and innovative community of Bressi Ranch," said Clemens. "A site bountiful in natural beauty, steeped with community history, and ready to become one of the premier communities in Carlsbad."
Throughout the Grand Opening weekend visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the 585-acre community, which upon completion will offer 623 homes throughout eight, architecturally unique neighborhoods. Potential homebuyers were able to learn new gardening techniques at the Heather Court Floral Art Show, enjoy home-baked cookies, English scones and New Orleans-style beignets, sip on organic tea and coffees and children were invited to listen to an enchanted storyteller at Wisteria Place.
Lennar, formerly Greystone Homes, is the builder of six of Bressi Ranch's single-family detached neighborhoods. These neighborhoods include; Canterbury, Cassia, Primrose Point, Gardenside, Heather Court, and Wisteria Place. Lennar is also building Mulberry, a neighborhood of affordable for-sale condominium homes, offered to buyers who meet special income requirements. Each of the Lennar neighborhoods, with the exception of Mulberry, had decorated model homes open for viewing at the Grand Opening. Barratt American, selected by Lennar to build Magnolia Estates, also presented information about their exclusive neighborhood of semi-custom luxury homes.
During the Grand Opening visitors were also welcome to tour the future site of Bressi Commons, the focal point of the Bressi Ranch community and home to the Village Club. The Village Club is a place where neighbors will be able to meet for barbecues, watch their children swim in the community pool, or hold neighborhood gatherings in the community meeting room.
The Welcome Center at Bressi Ranch is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To visit Bressi Ranch, exit Interstate 5 at Palomar Airport Road and drive east to El Fuerte Street; follow the signs for parking. Visitors will have the option to walk throughout the community or take the shuttle tour to the model homes. For more information about Bressi Ranch, visit www.bressiranch.com or call (760) 438-2427.
