Women's Resource Center begins volunteer training this month
The Women's Resource Center in Oceanside will begin a 61-hour volunteer training for individuals interested in working its Crisis Hotline or as advocates of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT). This certification training will be held from September 12, 2005, October 19, 2005 on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 10:15 p.m. and a few Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon. The training will be held at the Women's Resource Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of individuals and their families who are victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. Training topics will include crisis intervention, sexual assault, domestic violence, homelessness, incest and molestation, drugs and alcohol, victim rights, depression and suicide.
