Do you have a product or service that you'd like to sell to one of the big employers in town? Here's a chance to get your foot in the door. We invite you to join SCORE and the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce at one of the monthly luncheon meetings for the San Diego Supplier Development Council (SDSDC).

Paul Hollenbach, SCORE Counselor and Board member for the SDSDC says, "The purpose of the SDSDC is to improve member's procurement and subcontracting performance by creating opportunities for emerging and underutilized small businesses."

The SDSDC adopts and implements programs that promote the purchase of materials and services from small businesses. Many different types of products and services can be considered to fulfill small business procurement requirements.

The Council is made up of representatives from many of the major government, manufacturing and service companies in San Diego County including:

*Boise Cascade *City of Carlsbad
*Cubic Defense *General Atomics
*Kyocera *Lockheed Martin
*National Steel & Shipbuilding *Northrop Grumman
*Qualcomm *Salk Institute
*SAIC *UCSD Medical Center
*Titan *Viasat

Each of these companies is represented by their own small business representative (liaison officer) who will direct you to the department in their company that would most likely need your products or services.

You can obtain a list of all the members of the SDSDC by going to www.sdsdc.org. Paul
"The Council members will make you feel welcome and if there is a way to provide business for you, they will find it," says Hollenbach.
