The mission of the Ambassador Committee is to utilize its public relations, education and networking capabilities to maximize membership of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.

The Ambassadors assist prospective members, new members and new employees of existing members to swiftly acclimate themselves to the networking, training and other benefits the Chamber has to offer. To accomplish this mission, the Ambassador Committee helps businesses meet new contacts, while, at the same time growing the Chamber’s membership.

Events the Committee helps to put together are the monthly Sundowners and ribbon cuttings. Sundowners are held on the third Wednesday of each month from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Each month a different Chamber member business hosts the event. The Ambassadors volunteer to work this event and assist the Chamber staff by helping with registration, bartending and selling raffle tickets. The Sundowners are a fun and a productive way to interact with the people you'd most like to meet.

The Ambassador Committee also offers another way to help members get on the map by way of ribbon cuttings. More than 50 ribbon cuttings were held for new chamber businesses in the last year. Ambassadors attending ribbon cuttings get a great opportunity to meet and greet our community's newest companies and businesses.

No doubt about it, this is the Committee that has the most fun while building valuable business contacts. As with all the Chamber Committees, what you get out of it is about equal to what you put in. The wonderful thing about being a part of the Ambassador Committee is you just have a great time doing all of it.

The Ambassador Committee meets the second Wednesday of each month, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber. Come join us!
