LEGOLAND? California opened Pirate Shores, the newest attraction following closely on the heels of the release of the 4-D thriller "Spellbreaker" which opened in May. Those wanting to check out the latest developments can stop by the Carlsbad Chamber to buy discounted LEGOLAND tickets.
Pirate Shores, the seventh block of developments which opened June 21, marks the largest expansion since the park opened in 1999. The area includes four all-new water-based attractions. The cornerstone of the new area is the water-play ride Splash Battle. Splash Battle features pirate ships that give children and their families the chance to cruise through pirate-infested waters equipped with their very own water cannons.
Accompanying this attraction is Treasure Falls, a traditional mini-flume log ride, and two new water-play areas, Swabbies Deck and Soak-N-Sail. In honor of the Pirate Shores opening, LEGOLAND is having a "Shipwrecked Summer" with special pirate themed entertainment and food offerings.
