How many of you are in a financial tough spot? How many of you are worried about what's happening in the economy and where you will be in the next couple of months? Isn't worry, stress and concern the topic of conversation lately?
Worry and concern has an impact on our health, well-being and relationships, but we can take control of what life has to offer. Look back at how you have let the circumstances of life affect your health and well-being.
Have you been sick lately? Are you overeating, over drinking or doing anything in excess to suppress the worry and stress?
Now more than ever is the time to take care of you, because, it's free. There are many things you can do that don't cost anything to take care of yourself.
Take a walk, bike or do yoga to take away the stress. Experiment with new recipes by cooking healthy meals at home with your family. Spend time with your family.
Are you used to doing activities that cost money? There are many things that you can do that are inexpensive or free.
There are things you can enjoy in your community, like hiking trails, reading at the library, visiting museums or stopping by your local chamber of commerce to see what events are happening in the area.
Celebrate the life that you have, it's free. You can choose to get out of bed each day and jump into life.
Many people are having a hard time dealing with their finances, and I am not a financial expert by any means, but I am an expert in dealing with human beings.
We are all dealing with something. Take time to make a list of the things that you are grateful for in your life. More than likely, you have it better than someone else.
Get back to the heart of what really matters by reconnecting to your spouse or partner, family and self. There are plenty of things to be grateful for, and nourishing yourself and your relationships is the easiest way to keep moving forward with your life and celebrating everything that it has to offer.
Life is just a game, so play and enjoy it. I do what empowers me and that starts with getting out of bed every day and going after my vision for my life.
I am not going to sit here and watch things happen. Now is the time to look at things differently, do things differently and think differently. You can do it too.
