The Levins are real estate managers and own property in Escondido, San Diego and Los Angeles.
They decided to purchase the limousine business to bring Steve's mother, his sister, Wendy Adame and her Husband, Rudy, to Escondido.
Additionally, the couple was itching to start a business of their own.
"Everybody in my family and my wife's family (has) owned their own business, this was first time for us to do the same thing," Levin said.
After months considering the purchase, the Levins and Adames decided to take over the existing Temecula limousine company in April 2005.

Sterling Rose has a fleet of eight vehicles. This includes vans, an Escalade, a stretch limousine, an executive limousine and an excursion stretch limousine.

Employees:
5 full-time, 15 part-time

About $800,000

Why the name "Sterling Rose?"
"All the limousine companies around the country have the same name; we wanted to come up with a name that was going to evoke positive images. Our goal was to build a brand," Levin said.
The sterling rose was chosen because of its personal significance to Steve and Heide. At their wedding, she carried sterling roses down the aisle.

What is the future outlook for Sterling Rose?
"The fact that we exist in Temecula, most of our business (comes) from wine tours. We're growing the business and trying to get more corporate work … our airport business is picking up tremendously (and) we're also doing lots of weddings," Levin said.
