Best recent moment: Chargers Blood Drive XXVIII on Nov. 21, 2006, was a huge success with 2,024 pints of blood donated.

What would you want people to know about the organization? The San Diego Blood Bank is asking you to make a difference in life. You are the key to making a difference. We ask is that you donate blood one more time each year. If you normally donate once a year, a second visit could help save twice the lives. If you now donate twice, how about three times? The need for blood never stops. By making a difference in life, you are helping to ensure that life-sustaining blood is available for patients in your community.

Wish list of items the organization would love to have right now? A $120,000 bloodmobile, $50,000 to refurbish existing bloodmobile, automatic blood pressure monitors and cuffs (about $750 each), healthcare donor beds (about $2,000 each), flatbed platelet agitators ($2,725 each), heat sealers ($3,850 each).

How can people get involved? To make a difference in life, visit one of our convenient donor centers, or donate at one of our many mobile drives throughout the San Diego area. Simply go to our website at www.sandiegobloodbank.org to find a center or drive near you.
