Dr. Stephen A. Lawrence helps children in need, one white smile at a time.
As part of the Crown Council's Smiles for Life campaign, Lawrence offered teeth whitening services last spring and summer at a significantly reduced price. He donated 100 percent of the proceeds to help children facing serious health and educational problems.
Lawrence said he raised $3,000 during the four-month campaign. He said half of the funds were donated to the Garth Brook's Teammates for Kids Foundation for use in health, education and inner city programs that benefit children. The other half was given to the Ivey Ranch Park Association and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for use in the local community.
“We had a great campaign this year and would like to thank everyone in the community who came out and helped to make it a success by purchasing whitening services during our campaign,” said Lawrence, a Crown Council dentist with an office at 785 Grand Ave., Suite 206, Carlsbad. “It has been great seeing the beautiful smiles on the faces of the children our contributions are helping to support.”
The Smiles for Life Foundation is the charity organization of the Crown Council, an organization of leading dentists throughout North America. Each year, Crown Council dentists offer professional teeth whitening services at a considerably reduced price for four months and donate the proceeds to children's charities. The foundation has raised more than $20 million since 1998, which has benefited more than 500 children's charities across North America.
