Melissa Stimson, branch manager of TLC Staffing, was named Ambassador of the Month by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.
Stimson is a 13-year staffing veteran who began her career during her sophomore year of college while pursuing a degree in communications. Upon completion of her degree, Stimson continued to serve her clients by creating staffing strategies that include managed programs, direct hire, temporary-to-hire and temporary staffing solutions.
Having worked in multiple states, such as Illinois, Indiana and now California, Stimson has earned her CSP, which is a designation given to Certified Staffing Professionals who have proven their knowledge of labor laws, and provide excellence in the recruiting and hiring process.
Stimson recently completed her master of business administration degree in human resources management in order to consult at a higher level with her clients regarding their short- and long-term human capital goals. Over the years, she has worked for national firms and local organizations that have exposed her to various industries, including placements of light industrial, clerical/administrative, accounting/finance and IT/engineering professionals.
On her downtime, you will find Stimson playing with her dog at the Carlsbad Dog Park, where she often runs into other Carlsbad Chamber members. Stimson also takes hip hop classes at the Carlsbad Dance Academy in her spare time. She enjoys participating in other professional organizations such as the North County Personnel Association and Society of Human Resource Management.
