The Carlsbad Chamber's Business Expo Committee is comprised of energetic and enthusiastic volunteers who assist in recruiting food vendors and event exhibitors, collect prize donations and help with other event related needs as they arise.
Becky Smith, general manager of the Westfield in Carlsbad, is chairwoman of the committee. The committee meets at 4 p.m. every other Monday, including July 14 and July 28 at the chamber, 5934 Priestly Drive, Carlsbad.
This year's Carlsbad Business Expo, which is North County's best resource for driving business connections, will take place Sept. 17 in the parking lot at Westfield Plaza Camino Real. The expo features specialty pavilions where local experts are on-site from the home, technology, health and wellness and travel and tourism industries.
The event also includes numerous other vendors and free food samplings from local restaurants. Don't miss out on Quick Connect and the annual summer Sundowner, both taking place as part of this year's expo, which will help you meet the right people.
Vendors who register before Aug. 1st will receive an early bird discount. For more information about the expo, visit the Carlsbad Chamber's Web site, www.carlsbad.org, for more information or a registration packet.
The committee is still recruiting members and volunteers to assist on the day of the event. Active committee members are given priority booth placement.
