Fresh and fabulous delights are plentiful at the Carlsbad Village Farmers' Market.
Located in the Village at 2930 Roosevelt St., between Grand Avenue and Carlsbad Village Drive, the market takes place rain or shine from 1 to 5 p.m. each Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday. The market is California Certified, which means you are guaranteed to get the freshest fruits, vegetables, plants and flowers from local farmers.
The market also features numerous specialty food vendors selling homemade and imported items, including salsa, cheese, popcorn, fresh-squeezed juice, olive oil, seasonings, tamales, pastries and local farm fresh eggs. Vendors sell designer jewelry, sea shell crafts, stained glass items, handcrafted fashions and natural skin care products.
Hosted by the Carlsbad Village Business Association, the market also has seasonal celebrations. The Harvest Festival will take place Oct. 15 and Oct. 18 and the market will be transformed into a winter wonderland Jan. 14 and Jan. 17.
