Tune into your future business prospects by attending the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce's Sundowner from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Museum of Making Music.
The museum, located at 5790 Armada Drive in Carlsbad, takes guests on a musical journey through time to learn about America's music history from the 1890s to the 1990s. The museum tells stories of hard work, challenge, inspiration and pioneering innovation, and reveals the profound relationship between the industry, popular music and global culture.
The museum has more than 450 vintage instruments on exhibit, features audio and video clips at the touch of a button and includes an interactive area where visitors can put headphones on and play a variety of hands-on instruments.
Currently, the museum is highlighting “The Magic and Mystery of Slide Guitar.” The exhibit explores the past, present and future of the slide guitar.
Admission is $5 for chamber members and $15 for prospective members. The chamber would like to thank those companies that donated raffle prizes for the September Sundowner at Westfield.
For more information or to donate a raffle prize, contact Bev Jorgensen, the chamber's director of corporate relations and member services, at (760) 931-8400 or [email protected].
