Stop by The Shops at Village Faire, located at Carlsbad Village Drive and Carlsbad Boulevard, to find gift ideas like spa services, trinkets, gift baskets, jewelry, clothing and more. Stroll down Carlsbad Village Drive, Grand Avenue and State Street to enjoy the atmosphere while shopping and dining at the area's finest establishments.

• Old World Christmas, From 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Old World Center, located on the corner of Grand Avenue and Roosevelt Street. This event will feature carolers, a Christmas tree lighting in the courtyard, an appearance by Santa Claus for the kids and free hot chocolate provided by O'Sullivan's Irish Pub. The Marine Corps will accept unwrapped toy donations for Toys for Tots. Anyone who donates a toy will be given a discount coupon for O'Sullivan's Irish Pub.
• Kid's Holiday Activity Night, From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Village Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad. Shop in the Village while your kids enjoy a variety of activities, such as arts and crafts, a computer lab and so much more. All compliments of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Carlsbad. Toys and cash donations are welcome.
• Rotary Tree Lighting, Dec. 7 at The Shops at Village Faire, located at Carlsbad Village Drive and Carlsbad Boulevard. This annual tradition continues as the Rotary Club lights the community Christmas tree with the help of Mayor Bud Lewis and Santa Claus. A full day of entertainment and treats will be capped off by the lighting of the beautiful tree.
• Pups on Parade, From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 14 at The Shops at Village Faire, located at Carlsbad Village Drive and Carlsbad Boulevard. This annual event is a big hit with puppy lovers. The day starts with individual photos with Santa Claus from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a group shot that will be taken with Santa at the community Christmas tree. The Puppy Parade will begin at 12:45 p.m. at The Shops at Village Faire and then circle Carlsbad Boulevard, Grand Avenue, State Street and Carlsbad Village Drive.
• Jingle Bell Shop, Dec. 20-21. The charming Carlsbad Village will be dressed in all of its holiday finery.
