In an effort to reduce costs and conserve natural resources, the city's 2009 Calendar and Community Guide will not be sent by mail to residents. Instead, this year's guide will only be available at city facilities.
The eighth annual guide, titled “Carlsbad is Community,” features a 12-month calendar and reference section, as well as engaging stories about the people, places and events that make Carlsbad unique.
“The Carlsbad Calendar and Community Guide is a popular and useful resource for residents,” said Carlsbad City Manager Lisa Hildabrand. “By making it available throughout the community for pickup, instead of mailing it to residents, we are able to save resources while maintaining the high quality of the guide.”
Free copies of the guide are available at the following locations:
• Calavera Hills Park Community Center, 2997 Glasgow.
• Cannon Art Gallery, 1775 Dove Lane.
