Do you want to learn how to do business with the military? Are you passionate about supporting our armed services personnel?
The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce's Armed Services Committee helps build relationships between local military installations and businesses by increasing awareness through briefings, tours, the Carlsbad Salutes member to military discount program and the annual Patriotic Rally, Barbecue and Car Show at the School of Infantry, West at Camp Pendleton.
Led by Chairman Dave Krohn of Chef DK Catering, Co-chair Natalie Renner of Guaranty Bank and Secretary Tiffany Wyndham of Resounding Joy, the committee meets from 7:30 to 9 a.m. on the fourth Friday of each month at the chamber, 5934 Priestly Drive.
This year, the committee will put on a workshop about how to get contacts and do business with military installations, take a tour of Camp Pendleton and organize the annual Patriotic Rally, Barbecue and Car Show. The committee created the event four years ago as a way to say thank you to the Marines for their service.
The committee also will be growing and promoting Carlsbad Salutes. It is open to all members.
