Street sweeping schedules for Carlsbad are now available on the city's Web site.
The service allows residents to search by street name to find out which days they need to keep their cars off the street. The city sweeps all streets twice monthly between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Through this month, city volunteers will place a street sweeping schedule reminder on all cars not moved from the street on their scheduled sweeping days.
Street sweeping is necessary to keep debris out of the city's storm drains and help maintain clean and safe neighborhoods. When cars are left parked on the street on a street's designated sweeping day, the city's street sweeper cannot sweep three car lengths around the parked car.
