It's the time of year every Carlsbad Chamber member patiently awaits, The Chamber's Business Resource Guide has arrived. The 150-page, full-color guide was personally delivered to each Chamber-member business recently by Chamber staff and enthusiastic volunteers.
As in years past, the Business Resource Guide (BRG) is filled with useful, informative features and tools for businesses in Carlsbad and the North County area.
The full-color section at the front of the book features an overview of the Carlsbad community, its major attractions, industries, resources and attributes. Local landmarks are beautifully depicted in full color: LEGOLAND, the beaches, the Village shops and restaurants, the Flower Fields. Economic development, recreational amenities and education are also covered in their own sections.
The BRG also details the history of both the city of Carlsbad as well as the Carlsbad Chamber. This year's edition includes a colorful tribute to the long career and 40 years of service of Mayor Claude Lewis, who leaves office at the end of this year. A monthly calendar details important dates and Chamber events.
But the heart of the BRG, which is one of the Chamber's major annual projects, is the 80-page complete listing of all Carlsbad Chamber member businesses. This listing represents the vibrant and growing Chamber membership. These are the businesses that make Carlsbad an excellent place to live, work, and do business.
The Business Resource Guide represents the cooperative effort of every department of the Carlsbad Chamber. Many hours go into the painstaking compiling and updating of member businesses and resources, to insure that the BRG is a useful tool that business professionals will turn to throughout the year.
Bev Jorgensen, VP of Corporate and Member Relations personally oversees the book and takes great pride in this year's edition. “Everywhere I go in Carlsbad I see that businesses rely on this guide,” she said. “The photographs this year are spectacular. Carlsbad is such a beautiful community and we feel our guide reflects its unique vitality.”
