The national economy is starting to act like an out-of-control boomerang. You send it toward a target and the target doesn't move but somehow the boomerang misses the target. Stimulus packages, for instance, that don't perform as designed. What this all means for each of us is that we can't count on anyone or anything but ourselves to push our way through this financial sand storm we are living through.
