David is a native Jamaican whose Portuguese family has resided on the island for more than 300 years. He attended college at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and arrived in San Diego nearly 30 years ago to call it home.
He has worked in several sales, marketing and managerial capacities, with the past 19 years spent in the office supply industry, and mostly recently joined Ocean Pacific Office Products as district manager. They provide a new model in business-to-business sales of office products, one that elevates service to a high level by putting customer requirements first. Ocean Pacific Office Products and David know firsthand the frustration customers feel about office products and are committed to replacing the old with the new — pricing integrity; performance quality; hassle elimination; and personal and customized service.
David has been a chamber member for 14 years volunteering on several committees and has also served on the board of directors for six years. He enjoys the Ambassadors Committee, attends sundowners and ribbon cuttings and loves the energy of the committee and their involvement with new Chamber members.
David turned entrepreneur seven years ago when he entered the restaurant business along with his wife, Tina. Together they own Jamroc 101 Caribbean Grill, an authentic Jamaican restaurant, on Highway 101 in Encinitas.
