Blood drive in
partnership with
the American Red
Cross and California State Senator
Patricia Bates

Over the past year, we have all been hit hard. The business community has been affected in many ways, and it has often depended on the industry whether one barely survived or thrived.

In addition to businesses, the Carlsbad Chamber is here for our community as a whole. We act as the hub and central location for the businesses, nonprofits, schools, the city and community. While we have been here 98 years, and this may be the first pandemic, we have been structured in a way that no matter what the situation, we are consistently able to find new ways to help those in need.

Some we have been working with closely are our felow nonprofits. Last year, the Carlsbad Young Professionals group partnered with the Oceanside Young Professionals on a Pillow & Bedding Drive for Solutions for Change. As it is a full service leadership development residential program for the homeless in the country, the families are in consistent need of new bedding.

As the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank/North County Food Bank is in constant need of food, we also have become a central drop off location for their drives.

The Carlsbad Chamber office was also a location for a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross and State Senator Patricia Bates, when we knew this pandemic had no end in sight and blood banks were starting to struggle.

Donations for USO Diaper Bag Giveaway
We also were able to help USO Camp Pendleton spread the word for a Baby Bag Drive and the need for donations. All items were to benefit Marines and Sailors as part of the Artemis Program for new moms.

That is not all, we are here to continue to help. Please take advantage of the Carlsbad Chamber’s connectivity in the community. We have a database of over 1,100 member organizations, and 13,000+ local individuals. We have nearly 100 nonprofit members, and are here to help in any way.
