Green Dragon Tavern & Museum has reopened and looks forward to sharing good tidings and good cheer with you this holiday season. What a year! It is hard to imagine that during this time in 2019, we were taking over nine hundred reservations for our annual Thanksgiving Day buffet and preparing for a full holiday party event calendar with many of our repeat local clients. We always enjoy transitioning from sharing Thanksgiving with our amazing guests to decking the halls with our beautiful holiday décor.
Thanks to our community, Green Dragon Tavern is Carlsbad’s premier venue for holiday parties. Our beautiful ballroom is adorned with antiqued mirrors, wood floors and brass chandeliers while decorated with stunning Christmas trees, wreaths and garlands to combine simple classical elegance with an abundance of holiday spirit.
Offering convertible space for hosting corporate and private holiday parties, conferences, rehearsal dinners, weddings and other special events, our clients enjoy one of our three private rooms perfect for 25-80 guests or combine them into our ballroom for events up to 200 guests.
Our museum space adds unparalleled character to any event and is often added for initial cocktail reception featuring delicious passed and stationed hors d’oeuvres, photo booth, dance floor and more. With advanced audio-visual and best in class WiFi, our venue seamlessly incorporates our guests technological needs into their event.
The Tavern offers a truly elegant, yet casual ambiance like no other and includes direct access to our bar, 2 stone fireplaces and seven large screen televisions to entertain, display a custom PowerPoint of images or a customized message to your guests. With 20 craft beers on tap, savory craft cocktails and our barrel aged spirits, our guests always leave merry and joyous! The Tavern is two-stories, and each story can be rented separately. Combined, the Tavern can accommodate up to 175 guests (75 upstairs and 100 downstairs). In addition, our newly added outdoor patio provides another exceptional option for up to 80 guests seated.
Our dining room provides another beautiful option with a direct view of our culinary operation and custom wine display can entertain 75-100 guests depending upon room configuration. For a truly one-of-a-kind event like no other, guests have secured the entire venue for groups up to 500 guests.
With a professional, attentive staff effortlessly watching over every detail, your only concern will be enjoying the food, drinks and great company you’re with. Our talented culinary team prepare plated and custom dinners to buffet and passed appetizers to action stations using locally sourced ingredients and classic techniques while integrating current and seasonal trends. Conveniently located off I-5 at Palomar Airport Road and Paseo del Norte, we offer complimentary parking with 192 parking stalls and 2 dedicated limo/ bus spaces.
