Strong relationships, strong business, strong design

Naila Sfeir,
Calder Eames Design

My husband and I have been members of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce since 2017. We joined as franchisees of a marketing company but transitioned to leading our full-service graphic design and marketing agency, Calder Eames Design, in 2020.

What started out as our small, local company has evolved into helping businesses across the states with all their graphic design and marketing needs.

Over the years (and even during the pandemic), I made a point to consistently attend Ambassador Committee meetings, Business Resource Committee (BRC) meetings, Netforce1, First Friday Breakfasts, Happy Hours, and many other valuable Chamber events. I am the current Chair of the BRC and previously held the positions of Ambassador Co-Chair and Chair. In Netforce, I have been both a Secretary and Co-Chair. All of these Chamber opportunities (and more!) allowed me to meet incredible members that have helped make our business what it is today and for that we are so grateful.

What started out as our small, local company has blossomed into a nationwide company, thanks to the strong relationships we have built with fellow Chamber members. It is those relationships that can directly be attributed to the nationwide reach our company now has. For example, a fellow Chamber member and longtime client, Rachel Ivanovich of Easy Life Management, referred me to her client in Texas who then moved to Virginia. That client then referred me to one of her clients in Texas!

Another unexpected opportunity that I was introduced to by the Chamber was to become a Kindness Certified Company with Kids for Peace. This is our second year as a Kindness Certified Company and I now serve on their Board of Directors. Not only have I made wonderful connections through Kids for Peace, but it is so rewarding to be on the Board of a nonprofit making an impact globally whose mission is to build a worldwide community of kind, compassionate and empowered young people.

I often visualize where our company will be in 3, 5, and 10+ years. In that vision, I always see the Chamber, amazing Chamber friends, and an abundance of business growth that would not have been possible without the support of this incredible business community.
