Get your blankets and low-back chairs ready. The Carlsbad Village Association is excited to announce the movie lineup for the 2026 Flicks at the Fountain series.
Returning every Thursday from July 9 through August 6, Flicks at the Fountain brings free outdoor movies to the heart of Carlsbad Village, creating a fun and welcoming gathering place for families, friends, and neighbors on summer evenings. From beloved animated classics to exciting new releases, this year’s lineup offers something for every age.
More than just a movie night, Flicks at the Fountain is one of the many ways the Carlsbad Village Association fulfills its mission of helping make Carlsbad Village a thriving destination. The event brings residents and visitors into the Village, introduces them to local shops and restaurants, and highlights the vibrant, welcoming culture that makes downtown Carlsbad such a special place. It also creates opportunities for families to make lasting memories while strengthening the sense of community that defines the Village experience. Now entering its thirteenth season, Flicks at the Fountain has become one of Carlsbad Village’s most beloved community traditions, delighting audiences with 76 movies since its debut in 2013.

The free movie series takes place in the Fountain Parking Lot at the corner of State Street and Grand Avenue. Seating opens at 6:00 PM, and movies begin at dusk, typically around 8:00 PM. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, enjoy dinner, dessert, or shopping throughout the Village, and then settle in for a memorable evening under the stars. With so many delicious to-go options from our downtown restaurants, a picnic dinner before the movie is the perfect way to enjoy all that Carlsbad Village has to offer.
