Halloween in the Village returns October 31
Halloween is getting an earlier start in Carlsbad Village this year! On Saturday, October 31, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., families are invited to dress up, grab their candy buckets, and spend the day exploring the Village during Halloween in the Village.
With new earlier hours, there is more time to enjoy all the Halloween fun, from safe trick-or-treating and carnival games to a costume contest, crafts, and sensory-friendly activities. Best of all, with the celebration taking place throughout the Village, it gives families a chance to enjoy the holiday while discovering local businesses along the way.
The Halloween adventure can begin at CalRes Homes, 2691 State Street, where the first 250 kiddos can pick up a colorful pumpkin candy bucket, sponsored by CalRes Homes. Then it’s time to fill those buckets!

Safe trick-or-treating, sponsored by Phoenix Sports, will take place throughout Carlsbad Village, with participating businesses welcoming costumed kiddos with Halloween treats. Look for the candy stops marked with a special Candy Corn icon, and keep an eye out for even more local businesses joining in the fun.
For families looking for a little more action, the Boys & Girls Club of Carlsbad Village, 3115 Roosevelt Street, will be hosting carnival games both indoors and outdoors. Kids can test their skills, enjoy the bounce house, and grab some candy corn and popcorn. There is no entry fee.
Of course, no Halloween celebration would be complete without a costume contest. Families can show off their best, spookiest, or most creative costumes at Village Faire Shopping Center, 300 Carlsbad Village Drive. Categories include Spookiest and Most Creative for toddlers ages 1–3, kids ages 4–12, teens ages 13–17, and families or groups. So, start planning those costumes now!
Halloween in the Village also includes a special focus on making sure everyone can join the fun. Lily Field Realty will offer sensory-friendly activities and allergy-friendly treats for children who may need a quieter or more accommodating Halloween experience.
Whether your little ghost or goblin is ready to collect as much candy as possible, show off a fabulous costume, bounce the afternoon away, or simply enjoy the sights and sounds of Halloween in the Village, there will be something for everyone.
So, gather the family, put on those costumes, and make Carlsbad Village part of your Halloween tradition. It’s going to be a spooktacular day!
