The Forum, one of Carlsbad's favorite shopping destinations, has recently added Anthropologie to its extensive list of specialty retailers and restaurants. CB Richard Ellis, the world's leading commercial real estate services firm, pursued the specialty retailer for almost a year before finally signing them in late October. The 9,590 square foot retail space at The Forum is Anthropologie's first store in San Diego County.

"The Forum is the first lifestyle center in San Diego, and when you're dealing with a lifestyle center, it's critical that the tenants compliment one another," stated Reg Kobzi, first vice president for CB Richard Ellis. "We all felt that Anthropologie was the best fit."

CB Richard Ellis' recent success in signing Anthropologie's lease brings the specialty retail project to 100% retail capacity. Through a collaborative effort between CB Richard Ellis and their client, Forum Development, Carlsbad's Forum boasts some of the country's finest specialty retailers and restaurants, including Anthropologie, Sur La Table and Buca di Beppo's. By creating a local upscale, mixed-use development, CB Richard Ellis and Forum Development have presented North County residents with a unique alternative to regional malls.

Anthropologie, which was founded in 1992 as a division of Urban Outfitters, Inc., is an innovative specialty retailer with stores throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
