David DaCosta has been named Ambassador of the Month by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.
DaCosta has worked in several sales, marketing and managerial capacities, and for the last 16 years he has done sales for Office Depot Business Solutions. Currently, he is the territory development manager for the Carlsbad and Oceanside territories.
DaCosta brings value to businesses with his great customer care and service, and he treats his clients as he would like to be treated. He and Office Depot bring solutions and expertise in furniture, technology, exclusive brands, design printing and shipping, promotional products and cleaning and break room supplies.
DaCosta meets with his customers to bring efficiencies and cost saving techniques to their organizations, as well as the true one-stop shopping experience.
He has been a chamber member for 12 years, volunteering on several committees and also has served on the board of directors for six years. He serves the Ambassadors Committee by attending Sundowners and ribbon cuttings, and loves the energy of the committee and its involvement with new chamber members.
DaCosta became an entrepreneur five years ago when he entered the restaurant business with his wife, Tina. They own and manage Jamroc 101 Caribbean Grill, an authentic Jamaican restaurant, on Highway 101 in Encinitas.
DaCosta is a native Jamaican whose Portuguese family has resided on the island for more than 300 years. He attended college at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and arrived in San Diego some 30 years ago to call it home.
