The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce will roll out the red carpet at its Annual Business Awards Dinner Feb. 22 at the Four Seasons Resort Aviara.
But before Carlsbad's stars can step out in Tinsel town style and accept their awards, they need to be nominated. The chamber is seeking nominations in the following seven categories:
• Businessperson of the Year
• Small Business of the Year (1-15 employees)
• Medium Business of the Year (16-99 employees)
• Large Business of the Year (100 or more employees)
• Lifetime Achievement in Business
• Entrepreneur of the Year
• Community Leadership
The glamorous event recognizes the accomplishments of Carlsbad's business and community leaders whose vision has shaped the city and set the stage for years of continued prosperity. More than 700 people, including prominent and high-profile business leaders, elected officials and community members, will attend this premiere business event.
“The social gathering gives the community the opportunity to share wine, delicious food and lots of laughter while honoring our local business celebrities,” said Toni Padron, the chamber's executive vice president and COO. “Anyone may attend this event; it's a great mixture of people in the community from all walks of life.”
The chamber's awards dinner will honor the achievements of the 2007 Board of Directors, inaugurate our 2008 leadership team and provide a legendary night for all who attend the Hollywood-themed event. The evening will feature entertainment, savory culinary creations at an upscale resort, a spectacular cocktail reception and live auction, complimentary parking and more, as you enjoy a night in the spotlight.
