For 15 years diners have enjoyed the sights, smells and sounds that are Tuscany. Located on the northwest corner of El Camino Real and Alga in Carlsbad, this 4,000 square-foot hideaway promises fine Italian entrees, steaks, seafood and wine.
The name Tuscany comes from Tomaso Maggiore's love of the Italian city. Maggiore, who owns this fine dining establishment as well as other restaurants in both California and Arizona, does a lot of traveling to bring the most authentic Italian tastes to life. When asked, "What is Italian cooking?” Maggiore answers with his favorite saying, 'One cannot think well, love well and live well if one has not dined well.' In line with his cooking motto Maggiore uses the finest ingredients available and prepares his dishes with pride.
The restaurant itself, which seats up to 225 people, features a banquet room that seats between 65 and 80 people; a perfect venue for receptions or large gatherings. There is also live music every Wednesday through Saturday in the evenings. A mix of jazz and blues serenades diners through their antipasti, secondi piatti and dolci, or appetizers, entr?es and desserts.
