Chamber member Rosemary Eshelman worked with students from Tressie Armstrong's fifth grade class at Magnolia Elementary School in Carlsbad in the Business Matters program. Business Matters allows fifth graders to learn about business, including marketing skills and the ups and downs of being an entrepreneur. Eshelman enjoyed the program saying, "The students were so curious and attentive when I was there each week." The six week program is put on with the assistance of Junior Achievement, a non-profit organization serving San Diego and Imperial Counties which strives to teach young students the value of free enterprise, business and economics, and the Chamber's Education Committee. All Chamber members are welcome to participate. Call (760) 931-8400 for more information.
