Merrill Commercial Real Estate has announced the lease of 918 square feet of retail space in Carlsbad Village at 2907 Carlsbad Blvd. The lesee is a men's retail fashion and accessory boutique. Tyler Merrill with Merrill Commercial Real Estate represented both the lessee and lessor. It also reports the lease of approximately 1,500 SF of retail space at the Carlsbad Plaza South Shopping Center on El Camino Real. The lessee. which Tyler Merrill also represented, is a Chiropractor.


Cassidy Turley reports that Research Center Pointe, a 119,56-square-foot industrial building at 2210 Faraday Ave. has been sold for $16.35 million.
Rick Reeder and Aric Starck, executive managing director and managing director with Cassidy Turley of San Diego, respectively, represented the buyer and the seller.


Research Center Pointe is located in the sought after, master planned Carlsbad Research Center business community, with near Palomar Airport and numerous shopping, dining and retail amenities as well as a deep supply of executive and work force housing.


"This project was purchased at a significant discount to replacement cost. It is very well positioned to capitalize on Carlsbad's strong research and development market with current vacancy of just 10 percent," said Starck.
The building is 68 percent occupied. The remaining 40,000 square feet is available for lease.


Colliers International reports the lease of 1,595 square feet of office space at 5845 Avenida Encinas #131 in Carlsbad for $54,396 for a term of 24 months. John Walters of Colliers represented the lessee, an engineering company. The company also announced that a cloud-based business hosting company is leasing 1,845 square feet of office space at 2710 Loker Ave. West #180 for $77,490 for 24 months. Walters represented the lessor and Cassidy Turley represented the lessee. In another transaction, a fitness company is leasing 21,753 square feet of flex space in an industrial building at 5803 Newton Drive, Suite B (pictured above) in Carlsbad. The value of that transaction is $989,757 for 63 months. Finally, a designer swimwear company is leasing 5,224 square feet of office space at 1959 Palomar Oaks Way in Carlsbad for its headquarters. The value of the lease $553,062. Chris Williams and Gary Williams of Colliers International represented the lessor.
