Mission of organization
The Patrons of the Arts Foundation provides opportunities for North County San Diego residents of all ages to participate in high-quality performing and visual activities. Our goals are to promote the arts by providing year-round cultural events at affordable prices; developing a strong sense of community support for the Carlsbad Community Arts Center and its activities and developing a broad base of financial support. Additionally, to foster artistic growth in the community and the individual by nurturing an appreciation of the arts among all segments of the community, particularly children and youth, providing educational opportunities and offering scholarships.

How does the organization measure success?
When you give of your talents, time and treasure. When a volunteer organization continues to grow and thrive and serve its community year after year, that is success. Too many times success is measured by financial gain and not the inner qualities and opportunities that are the true gifts of our organization. We provide kids, teens and adults a safe and nurturing environment to express their passion for music and theatre. We are a family. Families grow, change, take the good with the bad and do the best they can with what they have to work with. That's what we do, but when you see your children return to work and teach along side of you, that is the greatest success.

Best recent moment
Fifty-three kids in the cast Of “100 Years of Broadway,” talent galore, happy parents, big audiences and a letter to the editor of North County Times saying what a wonderful show it was.

Little known information
We are a group of volunteers from the community with the vision to keep theatre alive and thriving in the North County. We work hard, play hard and make a difference. Since 1983 we have continuously produced at least three plays a year, along with youth workshops too numerous to mention.

Get involved
We never turn away a volunteer. If you have been an actor or always wish you were, if you believe in the magic of theatre, we are your group.
