Carlsbad will be the focal point as a premier vacation destination when the Travel Channel arrives to film a vacation segment February 10 through 13.
Carlton Lund of the real estate firm The Lund Team will be one of a few Carlsbad aficionados guiding the Travel Channel team and a vacation home hunting couple through the city.
"We want to shoot beautiful outside areas that are iconic to Carlsbad," said Tracy Santamarco, the show's segment producer. "I was told that Carlsbad is one of the top locales people use as a vacation hot spot."
Ted Owen, Carlsbad Chamber President and CEO and Kurt Burkhart of the Convention and Visitors Bureau will also be giving the Travel Channel information and tips about the fair city.
The Travel vacation home search television segment comes just months after Carlsbad was featured on The Today Show for its beautiful beach. There have also been a number of write-ups surrounding the area for being one of the best retirement places, best-planned cities and other honorable mentions.
