The Carlsbad Convention and Visitors Bureau is excited to announce publication of the new Carlsbad Visitors Guide! The bureau collaborated with Striker Media Group, a Los Angeles firm specializing in destination marketing guides, to assist in all aspects of the production from concept to sales. Striker has published 50,000 copies of the visitor guide for the bureau that will be used to exclusively promote Carlsbad during the next twelve months.

Printed annually by the bureau, the 40-page, full-sized glossy book provides out-of-towners a snapshot of Carlsbad and is packed with valuable information that will help to make a visit to Carlsbad a memorable one. Within the pages readers will find an overview of the city along with detailed sections on accommodations, shopping, dining, attractions, special events and the great outdoors. Also included in this year's guide is a two-page map of the city highlighting local hotels, points of interest, city parks, hiking trails, post office, airport and train stations.

The official Carlsbad Visitors Guide is the primary marketing fulfillment piece representing Carlsbad and will be mailed to fill all requests resulting from the bureau's ads, online requests or by telephone. The guide will be distributed at travel shows attended by the bureau, at the concierge's desk in local hotels and the Carlsbad Visitor Information Center. Distribution by Certified Folder Display Services will target the Washington Ferry system and select California Welcome Centers.

The guide is available in a digital format that can be viewed or downloaded at visitcarlsbad.com. Visitors to the online version can click on any ad in the book and view the advertiser's web site. These web site links will assist potential visitors in planning their ultimate Carlsbad vacation.
