Carlsbad named one of top five family beach towns in the U.S.
We always knew Carlsbad was special and now so does the rest of the nation. ABC-TV Travel Mom, Emily Kaufman, announced Carlsbad as one of the top five family beach towns in the nation. Kaufman described Carlsbad as the quintessential beach town during a "Good Morning America" broadcast in July. She cited sandy beaches, free jazz concerts and LEGOLAND as factors for her decision. The other four towns include Grand Haven on the shore of Lake Michigan, Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, The Westin St. John Resort & Villas in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu, Hawaii.
