The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce recently announced that Erin Olson and Belinda Byrd have been promoted to Executive Assistant and Member Services Manager respectively.
Olson, the Chamber's previous Member Services Manager, will now report directly to President and CEO, Ted Owen, serving as his Executive Assistant. Olson has been with the Chamber for two and a half years; she started out as their receptionist. Her new duties will include assisting CEO with the logistics and other various details of Chamber events; issuing and tracking all Certificates of Origin; administering conference room rentals and other office tasks.
Byrd, who has been an employee of the Chamber for almost a year was promoted to Member Services Manager from her previous position as receptionist.
"Both women are hardworking, intelligent, committed individuals. Their amiable personalities and driven spirits made them the perfect candidates for promotion," Owen said.
As Member Services Manager, Byrd will assist with membership updates, renewals and customer service; membership events, including Sundowners and the Chamber's bi-annual Village Faire and general membership duties. She will report to Denise Wigley, Director of Membership Development.
