Lee Sterling and Frank Hutchins were among the top award recipients at the Chamber’s annual Volunteer Recognition, held December 14 at the Grand Pacific Palisades Resort & Hotel. A crowd of approximately 100 attended the event, which honored committees and individuals for their outstanding volunteer work for the Chamber throughout the past year.

"It's a great honor and a pleasure to have presented these awards to some of the most deserving volunteers," said Ted Owen, Chamber president and CEO. "We wanted the volunteers to know we recognized and sincerely appreciate the hard work and dedication that was put into serving on the various committees."

Two special awards were presented to Cindy Broderdorf of PrideStaff and Jospehine Wright of Tahitian Noni International. Broderdorf won the "Make it Happen Award" for always going above and beyond to get the job done and Wright won the "Attitude is Everything Award" for exemplifying what it means to be an outstanding ambassador.

Other individual awards went to:

? Frank Hutchins of Community National Bank, Committee Chair of the Year (Special Events and Task Forces), Armed Services Task Force
? Jeanette Weeks of Ali Lassen's Leads Club, Rookie of the Year

Top committee awards went to:
? Ambassador Committee for Committee of the Year (Ongoing)
? Downtown Enhancement Task Force for Committee of the Year (Special Events and Task Forces)

Each committee chair awarded one outstanding member with the Committee Member of the Year award. They included the following:
