The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, together with its Armed Services Committee, made monetary donations to three local military related charities. Money was raised via the Chamber's "Fire Up the Village" fire hydrant painting program and a recent patriotic rally for Camp Pendleton's School of Infantry
Checks were presented to:
Terry Patterson, Operation Home Front San Diego, which assists all armed service personnel from the ranks of E-1 through E-6.
Dr. John Fitzpatrick, Operation Clear Vision, which assists dependents in purchasing prescription eyewear.
Sarah Dalke, Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, which assists family members of injured Marines.

"In support and appreciation of what each of these organizations do for our armed services personnel, the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce's Armed Services Committee felt it appropriate to contribute to these outstanding organizations," said Ted Owen, President/CEO of the Carlsbad Chamber.

The Carlsbad Chamber's Armed Services Committee works to promote, enhance and strengthen the relationships between our community and the military. The Armed Services Committee meets the fourth Friday of each month and is open to all Carlsbad Chamber members.
