The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce recognized its exceptional volunteers at its annual First Friday Breakfast Volunteer Recognition Program Dec. 5.
The festivities, which included a delicious breakfast buffet, networking and an award presentation ceremony, took place at the Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad. Numerous awards were given out to thank the many volunteers who help the chamber throughout the year.
“This chamber is the 10th largest in the state and second largest in the county of San Diego. One of the main reasons for those standings is our corps of volunteers,” said Ted Owen, president and CEO of the chamber. “While our 1,600 members start the ranking, the platoons of volunteers are what push the reputation and viability of the chamber to the heights we have attained to date.”
