Chamber welcomes new members during reception
More than 50 new Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce members gathered at the Chamber July 14 for lunch and an introduction to all the Chamber has to offer. Board and staff members were introduced and the new members received overviews of the Chamber sub-committees. Each member also learned the value of the 17-second commercial and had the opportunity to rehearse their own in front of the crowd. Toni Padron, the Chamber's executive vice president, explained the importance of upcoming events such as the State of the City address on August 11 and talked about Chamber benefits including the Major Employers Directory, discounted employment law posters and the newly redesigned Chamber Web site.
