Dr. Stephen Lawrence, a Crown Council dentist located in Carlsbad, is helping children in need, one smile at a time. Earlier this year, as part of the Crown Council's Smiles for Life campaign, Dr. Lawrence offered teeth whitening services at a significantly reduced price and donated 100 percent of the proceeds to help children facing serious health and educational problems. Crown Council is an organization of leading-edge dentists throughout North America.
During the four-month campaign, Dr. Lawrence raised $3,800. Half of the funds raised were contributed to the Garth Brook's Teammates for Kids Foundation and the other monies were divided between Cystic Fibrosis and a local North County charity, the Ivey Ranch Park Association.
"We had a great campaign this year and would like thank everyone in the community that came out to help make it a success by purchasing whitening services during the campaign," said Dr. Lawrence. "It has been great seeing the beautiful smiles of our patients, but it has been even better to see the smiles that are on the faces of the children our contributions are helping to support."
Smiles for Life Foundation is a children's charity organization associated with Crown Council. Each year, over a four-month period, Crown Council dentists offer professional teeth whitening at a greatly reduced rate and donate the proceeds to children's charities. Since 1998 the Smiles for Life Foundation has raised over $18 million benefiting over 500 children's charities across North America. Since joining the campaign, Dr. Lawrence has raised nearly $18,000.
