The Multiple Sclerosis Society works to prevent Multiple Sclerosis (MS), the most common neurological disease of the central nervous system, affecting young to middle-aged adults. Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, and more than twice as many women as men have MS.
There is no known cause, cure or prevention for this chronic, disabling disease. So what can be done? Thousands of people have already come together to raise money and awareness for cures and other preventative measures; now the society is turning corporate.
The MS Society’s Pacific South Coast Chapter will present its 2006 San Diego County Credit Union MS Walk, a three-mile, fund-raising event, starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at Legoland in Carlsbad.
Forming a corporate team at the 2006 MS Walk is a great way for companies to come together while making a difference in the lives of thousands of people in the community affected by MS.
Many of the region's finest companies believe that the MS Walk is a great way to promote community involvement, as well as build team spirit and company pride. The San Diego County Credit Union, SAIC, SDG&E, GEICO Direct, Frazee Paint, and ViaSat, Inc. are some of San Diego's well-known companies participating in the 2006 MS Walk.

"The MS Walk is a fun way for all of us at ViaSat to build closer bonds with each other, while supporting a worthwhile cause," said ViaSat's Team Captain Doug Hill.
The MS Society encourages companies to get their co-workers together and walk Interested in forming a team? Learn how to get started at www.mswalk.com or call 1-800 FIGHT MS (344-4867).
