The city of Carlsbad and KemperSports are excited to unveil The Crossings at Carlsbad, the long-awaited and highly anticipated 18-hole, championship golf course located along the north side of Palomar Airport Road at 5800 Hidden Valley Road. Over the next several months, construction and grow-in will continue in preparation for a July 2007 debut. The golf course will be open to the public.
The Course
Winding through a coastal terrain highlighted by views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding shoreline, the 400-acre golf property is currently being infused with massive pines, oaks and sycamore trees along with the installation of Bermuda grass. Multiple sets of tees will present a challenging yet accommodating on-course experience to players of any caliber. Half of the property will be preserved for habitat and will help tie together more than 1,000 acres of open space in the central part of the city.

Architect Greg Nash
Golf course architect Greg Nash is steering design of the 6,900-yard, environmentally friendly layout. Nash, a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, boasts national experience in public and private course design, particularly throughout California, Arizona and Nevada. The clubhouse and community benefits
Construction of a 23,000-square-foot upscale clubhouse is also underway. Upon completion, it will house a fully stocked golf shop, banquet facilities, a spacious dining room equipped with a full-service kitchen and an outdoor deck with ocean views. In addition, the Carlsbad development will feature a fully lighted driving range as well as public trails that link to the city's extensive trail system. The venue will provide ample opportunities for community meetings, corporate outings, special events and more.
